Date : This cabling machine was made in Leeds in 1910
On this cast-iron-frame machine, six groups of three bobbins were positioned on the upper section. The threads, delivered by each bobbin, are joined and twisted together in a spinneret that causes the receiving bobbins to rotate in synchrony.
This machine can produce three-strand ropes that are 1.5mm to 4mm in diameter, and thin cord made with a reel.
